THE NAXOS GUIDE TO THE BUS SERVICES OF  NAXOS

A new system has been introduced:  You buy your ticket at the office in town before boarding the bus.  if you're coming from out of town, you have to find somewhere to buy your ticket 9Tourist offices, shops, etc).  they don't sell them on the bus anymore.

What happens if you try to get on between villages, The Guide does not (as yet) know but treat the tickets as a 'carnet' and buy a handful - which will, of course, save time in the long run.

Depending on the season, there will be less services and, sometimes, even, more.

As with all travel information this comes with the caveat - this is only a guide - CHECK TIMES!  And BEWARE -

sometimes you can get to a village but the last bus leaves for town BEFORE you arrive at the village!

Unfortunately the timetable has had to be withdrawn because the bus service seems to have been severely curtailed except to and from Chora and Procopios/Agia Anna/Plaka where they is a much more frequent service.  Any information can be got at the bus station in town where the staff are usually friendly and informative.
