In July, for example, there is only one flight a day now except for Sunday.  Makes good, economic sense - two flights a day always full with a waiting list so cut down to one a day at less convenient times!

July:  Athens to Naxos - 12.30 everyday with an extra flight at 06.20 on Sunday.  Naxos to Athens:  13.40 with the extra Sunday one at 07.30.

Alternatively, it might be worthwhile to fly to Paros which has a hugely better service or there are, also, numerous flights daily to and from Mykonos and Santorini.
